Life Goes On

Life Goes On

There are many obstacles in life,
That lead you astray from your wishful plan of happiness.
Obstacles that force changes, grief, and strife.
Some questions might arise that require much more thinking than a guess.
I've been through many obstacles and I can say from experience, they're not easy.
Just thinking about them now makes my heart ache and my stomach a little queasy.
They all have hurt and required a lot of time, and prayer.
In that moment, I always thought these trials were awful and unfair.
But as I reflect, my Father in Heaven was helping me prepare.
He really does care.
When an obstacle does arive,
The important thing to remember is that life goes on.
There's a lot more to life than just trying to survive.
Before you know it, life is gone.
So live in the moment, take chances, and be happy.
And when those obstacles come, greet them with open arms.
They'll strengthen you, and prepare you for the better and brighter future.
Just remember: Life goes on.
Life Goes On.

Blogging

So I thought I would start this new blogging thing to maybe help me keep better track of my life. Not that anyone else really cares too much, but i'm the type if person who loves to read things that i've written in the past. Like poems, journal entries, and stuff like that. Plus i'm sitting here bored in physics and I have nothing else better to do. ;)
I've had a lot of changes going on in my life lately. I decided that I'm not going to do drill again next year. This decision is both very sad, and such a relief. Very sad in the fact that I won't be with these girls and Diego 24/7 anymore. I love my team so much! They always know how to make me smile. It's also a relief though because I will have a ton free time and done extra pocket money. I wish them all the best of luck though and I can't wait to cheer them on and see what they accomplish next year!
We actually had the first night of our end of year concert tonight! It was lots of fun! I am really going to miss performing and having those stage lights shining down on me. I'm going to miss all the backstage madness and us killing each other in the darkness before the curtain rises. From this I only get a glimpse of what it might be like to be on stage performing for a ton of other people like in broadway. I love it and wish that that is something I could do in life. But I for sure don't have all the talent for that. It is the greatest feeling though and such an adrenaline rush! I will for sure miss that the most!

Another thing I'm super excited for, is because I won't have any summer practices, I get the summer off!! I have a lot of big plans for this Summer! I'm going to take a week and go to Girls State to get all my history credit and learn more about government! I'm not super excited for this, but I think it will be a great experience! For a couple of weeks this summer I am really hoping that I can fly out to Georgia to be with my brothers and sister-in-law's!! :) this is going to be super fun! I miss then all so much! I can maybe go work for Brandon for a little while, and who knows, maybe we'll even go to Harry Potter land! That would be the best!! <3

So instead of doing drill next year, I will be a Madrigal:) I know what you're all thinking, a drill team member going to be a choir nerd?:) Your answer is yes! I have been taking choir for about 3 years now, I love to sing and i've never considered myself good enough to ever try for madrigals or anything, but i've met some amazing friends through choir who kind if of talked me in the auditioning for Madrigals this year, and to my huge surprise, I actually made it!
I'm excited to meet new people and share my senior year with my choir friends <3 I'm also excited to learn more about music that will hopefully stay with me for the rest of my life. I am learning how to play the guitar, and although I am not even close to being even ok at it, I still love it! I hope I have some more time so that I can impove a lot and be able to write some of my own songs.
I LOVE to write poetry... so also with this blog maybe i'll update some poetry I have written. It's something that makes me happy.
Anyway, we'll see how this goes!
